In her role as Chancellor, Dr. Melville is working to help the University create a more inclusive and equitable environment for students, staff, and visitors. She is also working to promote DEI in the wider community through the University’s outreach and engagement activities.
Being awarded an OBE for her services to female entrepreneurs, diversity in business and gender equality.

Dr. Heather Melville OBE has spent over 40 years building inclusive cultures within challenging and often traditional corporate, international banking, technology, and professional services settings.

She currently serves as Senior Managing Director at Teneo, a global CEO advisory firm, where she assists businesses in developing more sustainable, diverse, and inclusive practices. Additionally, she leads the UK arm of its DEI practice.

Dr. Melville received an OBE in 2017 for her contributions to female entrepreneurs, diversity in business, and gender equality. In 2019, she was honoured with a place on The Financial Times’ prestigious ‘EMpower Top 100 Minority Leaders’ list.
