Sharniya Ferdinand is the Enterprise Community Strategy Director at NatWest Group. Sharniya has worked in banking for over a decade gaining experience across a variety of areas. Currently leading on implementing the bank’s national strategy for supporting diverse business owners and working with Aston University’s Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship to implement the Time to Change report’s recommendations.  

Sharniya is passionate about inclusion, designing and managing community inclusion initiatives, engaging diverse entrepreneurs and advocating inclusive entrepreneurship support internally and externally. Sharniya is co-lead of NatWest Group’s Racial Equality Taskforce, leading the community pillar, sitting on the Group’s Ethnicity Advisory Council and supporting the organisation to develop colleague-focused DEI strategies. Sharniya co-leads Black Visibility is Power events to create and foster a shared.
